That is why MKC believes that the team-based work environment it offers to its team members is second to none. TEAM MEMBERS are the source of our strength and innovation. Team members provide our collective intelligence, determine our reputation, and reflect our organization's vitality. Involvement, teamwork, accountability, effective communication and continuous improvement are our core human values.

MKC believes that all team members are "life-long learners." We want to develop our team members and guarantee their success by enhancing overall skills and performance. This will ensure that we, as a company, are prepared to face the competition and emerge as the front-runner in our industry. To foster this environment of freethinking, MKC offers team members a very common-sense and casual dress policy.

All of these values are found in the KIXS program. As a way to continually improve the work environment and production processes at Miles Kimball Company, the organization practices the principals found in the Kimball Improvement and EXcellence System (KIXS). The goal of the system is to improve business performance, increase customer satisfaction, and enhance the operating culture of the company. Team members play an active role in the KIXS model. Team members are expected to provide input to the management regarding ways to meet the goals of the program. Management in turn is expected to provide leadership for the improvement process, by providing an environment in which team members are given responsibility and ongoing training to make the improvement become reality.
